Chronicle Firearms is a system designed by police officers for police officers. It provides forces with governance around all aspects of Firearms Training and Operations. The system stores and retrieves all information relating to Firearms Training and Operations in one easy to use solution. It will assist compliance with the National Police Firearms Training Curriculum and compliment the Code of Practice on Police Use Of Firearms and Less Lethal Weapons. The operational data collated by the solution provides forces with their Strategic Threat and Risk Assessment in accordance with NPIA Licensing requirements.

When linked to the Chronicle Armoury module, the system provides a complete end to end solution in relation to occupational and operational competency of officers and controls access to armouries and weapons based on the officers' current authorities. Immediate issue/no issue decisions based on weapon types and officer authorisation levels can prevent non-authorised AFOs from taking weapons or entering an armoury. A comprehensive system of notifications via e-mail and or SMS will ensure that information is immediately sent to relevant individuals for certain critical events.
