IDENTIFIED ASSET STORAGE

iDAS is a secure, modular system for managing the storage and issue of Tasers or other weapons. The system uses embedded RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) technology to automatically record the issue and return of weapons, constantly checking for their safe presence in a secure housing. iDAS automatically records a complete audit trail of issue and return transactions, with alarms in the event of system misuse. The iDAS operating system is very flexible and can be configured as user requirements demand, such as only allowing an officer access to their allocated weapon. The rapid, automated issue, return and audit processes eliminate time consuming manual control procedures with significant savings in management and supervision.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Users log into the iDAS system using an RFID authority card, pin and/or Iris recognition. The system then either opens a predesignated drawer or, if so configured, allows the user to nominate one.
LED Status indicators give a clear visual indication of the condition of each drawer. Once the user removes a weapon, iDAS registers the withdrawal and automatically allocates the weapon to that user whilst recording a date & time stamped event in the audit log. If the weapon is not returned within a given time scale an alarm can be activated. The alarm can be sent to a supervisor as an SMS message alert.

INSTALLATIONS

The modular design means that iDAS can be configured for small, medium and large applications, with the potential for remote monitoring of status and control of access permissions in distributed deployments.
