Iris Recognition

City of London Police are the first police force in the country to introduce Iris recognition in to their armoury issuing and return process. The system, developed by JML Software works by identifying officers via their Iris before checking whether the officer is authorised and what weapons they are authorised to carry. The system is quick, efficient and ensures officer presence and identification. C/Insp David Lawes stated, “The City of London Police tactical firearms group are pleased to embrace this state of the art technology. We have recognised the need to provide a user-friendly armoury issue system that is
both defendable and easily auditable in order to provide protection for the officers and the organisation,”

JML Software Solutions are leading the way in introducing cutting edge technologies into our Chronicle Weapons and Armoury Management system. Using the latest LG IrisAccess 4000 platform, JML will integrate this Biometric solution with our Chronicle Armoury software thus creating a unique, intuitive, fast, user freindly method of accessing armouries and booking weapons in and out. This will remove the need for officers to carry cards or remember PIN numbers and also deals with damaged, dirty or soiled fingers which affects other types of Biometrics.

This unique combination will ensure officer identification and attendance and has the capability to read through contact lenses, glasses and respirators.
